Narrative

Arrival

1900 Hours

Our crew arrived on site at 1900 hrs.  The crew consisted of me (Rob Wronski, Lead Investigator), Jen Leblanc (Case Manager/Historian), Jen “Scooby” Krzanik (Paula Sheridan (Tech Manager) and Samantha Donais (Investigator-in-Training).  (For the remainder of this report, all investigators will be referred to by first name, except for Jen Krzanik, who will be referred to as “Scooby” to differentiate her from Jen Leblanc.

The client took me and Jen through the house to show us where there has been paranormal activity.  Samantha and Scooby unloaded the equipment and did a baseline of the house.

We then went on to conduct three EVP sessions in the home.

Conclusion

Based on the evidence gathered and debunking, our findings are inconclusive.  We can neither say the home is haunted or not haunted.  I suggest a log be kept, and unusual occurrences be debunked if possible.  The main problem presented by the client was that the child was kept up at night.  Even with the shades down, we found lights from passing cars go on all night, creating shadows.  Animals move about the house (dogs and cats) which have the potential to wake the child.  Noises occurring all night in the room include refrigerator noises and noises from the heater and house settling.  It was said that there are noises in the room before child wakes, but perhaps the child is making those noises, or the cat.

We are willing to return for a re-investigation should the client wish it.

Audio

Sam noted one possible EVP from the QVP recorder track ws118787 at 1h21m21s into the recording (Approx 11:51pm): Rob and Sam are in the kitchen sitting at the table when Rob asks for a sign. An audible knock on the table is heard and both react to it. Prior and post to this audio clip there are other subtle house settling sounds that the recorder also picked up. This particular potential EVP noise had a different tone to it versus house settling and occurred directly in front of the two investigators. Nothing in the room over the course of the investigation made a similar knock of the same tonal value on the recordings. (“TableKnock.mp3”)

Upon secondary review I also noted two potential EVPs: They both came from track ws118786 on the QVP recorder. The first was at 8m17s into the recording (Approx.8:07pm): Jenn and I are in the kitchen listening to the noises of the house. Jenn comments about the homeowner’s grandson making noise in the livingroom. I make a comment about the traffic outside and there is a loud audible kitchen clock ticking in the background. Meanwhile, there is a series of tweets close to the recorder, which was on the kitchen table at this point in time, and a squawk later in the clip (“Tweets.mp3”)These tweets do not appear to have come from outside the immediate area of the recorder, and it is highly unlikely there was audio bleed from the living room area that could have been so crisp and loud.

The second EVP found on the secondary review came from the QVP recorder track ws118788 at 50m54s into the recording (Approx 11:19pm) Rob and Sam are in the kitchen listening to myself and Jenn in the child’s bedroom starting an EVP session. There is talk about moving the video camera and then a squeak after Jenn asks for a spirit to light up the K-II meter. (“Squeak.mp3”)
