We were called by a client in Brattleboro, Vermont who wanted us to come investigate an unoccupied building that was being worked on.  The claims ranged from unexplained noises to the feelings of being watched. 

                This was a fairly large building, a three story wood frame house that was very old.  It was unoccupied at the time of our investigation.  They were actually in the process of taking the building down and building another structure on the site.  The client just wanted to see if we could find anything.

                The investigator’s that participated were Phil, Dennis, Gerry, Julie, Paula, and Tiffany.  We set up audio and video equipment throughout the building.  We performed EMF sweeps to see if we could find naturally high EMF areas.  We found that in the stairwell where the claims of people saying they felt like they were being watched, there was abnormally high EMF levels, possibly from the old wiring in the wall that lead to a light switch.  One of the claims of high EMF exposure is creating the feeling of being watched and uneasiness. 

                We did EVP sessions, as well as measuring temperature levels and EMF.  We did not find any evidence during the investigation.  No audio or video evidence, nothing caught on photos, and no personal experiences.

                We did find that there were teenagers who were sneaking onto the roof of the building and partying, we found empty beer cases and food wrappers.  These kids actually paid a visit the night we were there.  Phil and Julie actually thought they were hearing the reported voices while sitting in one of the upstairs rooms.  It was actually these kids sneaking through the bushes and climbing up the building.  It sounded just like the voices were coming from the room we were sitting in.

                There were also many other origins of audio contamination found.  One of these was a restaurant that was next door that created a lot of noise that would come into the residence and sound like it was coming from within the home. 

                The building was not furnished, and windows were old, so the place echoed badly and noise easily could penetrate the building.

                We are quite confident that all the experiences and activity were not of paranormal origin.  The client was very nice and appreciative.  As always we told the client that if anything else happens, to not hesitate to call on us.

The building has since been torn down to make way for new construction.
